At that time, there was at most one case of successful replantation of 11 severed fingers in the national and even global records. Such a large number of severed fingers were rare in the history of microsurgery, and there was no precedent for such a case of successful replantation of so many severed fingers.

Although surgery can be performed, the success rate of finger replantation surgery within 6-8 days is slightly higher. Faced with the earnest request of the family for finger preservation, it was ultimately decided to perform finger preservation surgery for Xiaoshuang. In order to shorten the time limit, a team of experts led by Dean Hou Jianxi divided into four groups to perform surgeries on 17 anastomosis sites. Once one anastomosis site is of poor quality, blocked or blocked, the rest will be in vain. Therefore, every anastomosis site and every injection requires extremely fine precision. Due to the extremely complex and rare nature of the injuries, the entire surgery was completed after 21 hours of collaboration among 12 doctors.
