Recently, Zhengzhou Renji Hospital officially established the "Shanghai Tongji Hospital Wound Repair Department Sixth Ward". The Wound Repair Department of Shanghai Tongji Hospital (Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji University) is currently the only department in Shanghai that independently features wound repair. Under the leadership of Dr. Dai Tao, a well-known wound repair expert in China, it focuses on the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of complex wounds, diabetes feet, arteriovenous ulcers, chronic pressure ulcers, burn wounds, body surface tumors (giant melanomas, birthmarks, hemangiomas, neurofibromas, etc.) and difficult rare diseases.

As a key (cultivated) discipline of chronic wound repair in Henan Province, the Chronic Wound Repair and Osteomyelitis Treatment Center is an MDT department that integrates microsurgical orthopedics, internal medicine, wound care, vascular intervention, rehabilitation, and more. Under the leadership of Vice President Dong Qiqiang, the technological advantages have become more prominent after the comprehensive upgrade, with the latest and most comprehensive technologies for repairing chronic wounds in China, such as super microsurgery, transverse bone transport, bone cement induced membrane technology, skin tension technology, PRP technology, vascular intervention, and the application of new dressings.

This authorization is based on the comprehensive recognition of the specialized strength, discipline construction, talent pool, and regional radiation ability of Zhengzhou Renji Hospital by the Wound Repair Department of Tongji Hospital in Shanghai. Both parties will rely on the "Sixth Ward" platform to carry out comprehensive cooperation in areas such as MDT joint consultation for difficult wounds, standardized construction of diagnosis and treatment pathways, technology promotion and talent cultivation, collaborative research projects, and resource sharing.
