The Trauma and Microsurgery Center of Renji Hospital is a key microsurgery discipline in Henan. Based on microsurgery, it is a comprehensive department integrating trauma orthopedics, hand and foot surgery, vascular surgery, reconstructive surgery, plastic surgery, organ reconstruction, andofacial surgery, and is one of the key developing departments of the hospital.

Scope of business: Diagnosis and treatment of major limb amputations (microsurgical repair for defects of limbs, soft tissue, skin, and bone tissue), hand and foot microsurgery, finger reconstruction, and various limb (finger) replantations; rescue of various complex and multiple injuries, limb (finger) replantation, and limb-salvage skin flap repair for limb amputations; repair of bone and soft tissue defects, repair of maxillofacial and deformities, repair and reconstruction of missing or deformed facial features, repair and reconstruction of post-traumatic functional disorders, comprehensive prevention and treatment of trauma plastic surgery and scars, and MDT multidisciplinary center for aesthetic repair.

The center upholds the values of "benevolence and compassion, helping the people and benefiting the world," and shoulders the mission of "caring for life with love, and preserving limbs and reducing disability with professionalism." Fully leveraging its specialized advantages, the center created a classic case in the field of trauma microsurgery successfully replanting all 17 amputated segments of a single hand, making it the current world record holder for the most amputated segments of a single hand that survived and recovered after surgery. This case was published by Professor Fang Guangrong in the article "Current Status and Prospects of Replantation and Reconstruction," and was included in the 2012urgery Volume of the *Zhonghua Encyclopedia* and the *Selected Difficult Microsurgical Cases*. The center has pioneered multiple high-difficulty technical innovation cases, such as the successful repl of a "limb amputation" in a nine-month-old infant, simultaneous surgery for limb-destroying trauma repair and cesarean section, foster reconstruction and replantation of a and amputated forearm, and simultaneous arm replantation and craniotomy, breaking multiple international and domestic records. It has won the first prize in the international and domestic microsurgical anastomosis competition three times, one first prize and three second prizes in the international and domestic case competition, one first prize in the Henan Provincial Medical Science and Technology Progress Award, and second prizes in the Henan Medical Science and Technology Progress Award, and has been reported by CCTV eight times.
