Guided by minimally invasive orthopedic surgical techniques and the concept of rapid rehabilitation, the Department of Spine and Joint Surgery is a modern tertiary hospital department that integrates "spine, joint, sports medicine, pain, and perioperative rehabilitation". The department has a reasonable talent structure and a complete range of sub specialties, and is one of the key development departments of the hospital. It has a total of 42 ordinary beds and VIP beds. The department responds to the hospital's "four heart culture" and regards patients as relatives. With the treatment concept of advanced pain relief and rapid rehabilitation, it creates a painless ward, improves the comfort of patients' hospitalization, and enhances the warm experience of treatment.

Scope of diagnosis and treatment of spinal diseases:

1. Adhering to the "stair step treatment concept", proficient in non-invasive and minimally invasive treatment of various diseases such as intervertebral disc herniation, spinal stenosis, and spinal fractures, including but not limited to various interventional treatment techniques for the spine and joints, intervertebral disc radiofrequency ablation, intervertebral foramen endoscopic surgery, unilateral dual channel spinal endoscopy (UBE), percutaneous pedicle screw implantation (MISS-TLF), percutaneous vertebral body shaping (PVP, PKP) for thoracolumbar fractures, robot assisted minimally invasive surgery, etc. The combination of endoscopic technology, minimally invasive concepts, and intelligent robots can achieve ultimate precision and minimally invasive surgery, better serving patients.

2. Proficient in open surgical treatment of various complex intervertebral disc herniation, spinal stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, spinal fractures and dislocations, such as thoracolumbar posterior spinal canal enlargement and decompression, intervertebral disc resection, bone graft fusion and internal fixation, anterior cervical disc herniation anterior approach intervertebral disc resection, bone graft fusion and internal fixation (ACDF), posterior cervical spondylotic myelopathy single (double) door spinal canal enlargement and decompression, anterior cervical vertebrae subtotal resection, bone graft fusion and internal fixation (ACCF) and other techniques. At the same time, has rich experience in the treatment of spinal cord injuries without fracture and dislocation, and has achieved good results.

Scope of joint treatment:

1. Arthroscopy technique:

Has the advantages of minimal trauma and fast recovery; Mainly includes:

① Knee arthroscopy: targeting diseases such as gouty stones, cruciate ligament injuries, meniscus injuries, synovitis, adhesions, intra-articular fractures, and free bodies in the knee joint;

② Shoulder arthroscopy: for shoulder joint adhesion, acromion impact, rotator cuff injury, shoulder joint dislocation, labrum injury, frozen shoulder, acromioclavicular joint injury, etc;

③ Arthroscopy of the wrist: diseases such as gouty tophi, triangular cartilage injury (TFCC), purulent arthritis, ulnar impingement syndrome, lower ulnar and radial joint dislocation, intra-articular fractures, etc;

④ Ankle arthroscopy: ankle impingement syndrome, ankle free body, ankle ligament injury, ankle synovitis, ankle cartilage injury, etc;

⑤ Arthroscopy of elbow: synovitis, elbow joint adhesion, cartilage injury, intra-articular free bodies, intra-articular gouty tophi, etc;

⑥ Hip arthroscopy: acetabular impingement syndrome, labrum injury, hip synovitis, etc;

⑦ Arthroscopy: small joint cartilage injury, free body removal, etc.

2. Traditional surgeries include:

① Hip replacement: suitable for femoral neck fractures, partial intertrochanteric fractures, femoral head necrosis, congenital hip dysplasia, severe hip osteoarthritis, bone tumors, hip stiffness, etc;

② Knee replacement: knee osteoarthritis, joint surface bone destruction, traumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, bone tumors, joint stiffness, etc;

③ Periarticular fractures: intertrochanteric fractures of femur, tibial plateau fractures, pilon fractures, humeral neck fractures, Montessori fractures, Gai's fractures, elbow joint terror triad, etc;

④ Joint revision: fractures around joint prostheses, joint infections, loosening of joint prostheses, etc;

⑤ Various injuries can cause instability of the sacroiliac joint, pelvic fractures, etc. The use of robot assisted closed reduction and internal fixation has the advantages of less bleeding, less trauma, faster recovery, and early mobilization.

Our department has accumulated a wealth of mature experience in the treatment of the above diseases. Leading figures in various disciplines have all started the treatment of the above diseases earlier in China, and a large number of patients have generally been very satisfied with the results after treatment.
